Reducing the detrimental impact of human activities on our environment is an essential need. Buildings have a significant role in accomplishing this need, which necessitates conduction comprehensive research that adequately identifies underlying factors and then seeks sustainable solutions. Green buildings been one critical initiatives to lessen negative endeavors environment. The structural frame most elements buildings, especially owing their This study investigates how building frames perform according sustainability criteria. A questionnaire was used identify relevant criteria, hybrid Delphi-SWARA model determine relative importance eight prioritized simulated with DesignBuilder software quantify environmental two main types frames, reinforced concrete (RC) steel (SS) Results illustrated RC-framed less due energy consumption carbon emissions. 2.3% electricity 2.7 natural gas consumption. In addition, 88 tonnes CO2 emission can be reduced type 50-year lifecycle more than 5% total production building. methodological approach introduces novel way for decision-makers consider criteria design stage.
